Chinese polychrome Coromandel 8-Panel screen. Folding screen is crafted.in black lacquered intaglio and painted in with enamel. It depicts a continuous courtyard scene with primarily black and gold color scheme with a dragon border, fan shaped ornamentation on the tops and carved bird anchors at the base. On the reverse side a painted gilt floral and bamboo scenes and borders decorate each panel.
Each panel is 18" wide for a total of 144" in width. Screen is 99" tall.
